PTA Executive Board Members

The Executive Board shall be composed of the officers listed below to be elected at the first General Meeting of each academic year to serve for a term of one academic year.

President (Approximate Time per Month: 3-10 hours)

  • To preside over General Meetings and Executive Board Meetings. 
  • To lead the Executive Board in managing PTA affairs. 
  • To set up agendas and call for meetings.
  • To establish and guide the direction of the Parent-Teacher Association.
  • To implement decisions and resolutions of PTA members. 
  • To monitor the progress of the execution of resolutions made.
  • To act as a bridge between PTA Members and school administration for enhancing communication.

1st Vice President – Communication (Approximate Time per Month: 3-10 hours)

  • Perform all duties of the President and 2nd Vice President in the event that he/she is absent during a scheduled meeting or inability to act. 
  • To assist the President in preparing for meetings and implementing decisions and resolutions of PTA members. 
  • To assist the President in monitoring the progress of the execution of resolutions made.
  • Ensure PTA communications of decisions are sent to Parents/School.

2nd Vice President – Events (Approximate Time per Month: 3-10 hours)

  • Perform all duties of the President and 1st Vice President in the event that he/she is absent during a scheduled meeting or inability to act. 
  • To assist the President in preparing for meetings. 
  • To assist the President in implementing decisions and resolutions of PTA members. 
  • To assist the President in monitoring the progress of the execution of resolutions made.
  • Ensure PTA Events works with the school/parents to ensure a smooth transition of planned events.

Secretary

  • To assist the President to draft and publish agendas.
  • To draft meeting minutes and publish after approval.
  • To maintain the records and documentation of meetings and activities.
  • To maintain an up-to-date list of all PTA Members and Parent Volunteers. 
  • To maintain a copy of current bylaws. 

General PTA Member –All ICS Branch 2 Al Falah Parents are PTA members. No election needed.

  • Attends monthly PTA meetings
  • Votes on PTA issues brought before the board
  • Assists with PTA events/ activities as schedule permits
  • Can be nominated to be part of a PTA Committee
